To Counselors, Parents, and Prospective Scholarship Applicants:

 

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, is the United States of America's oldest African-American sorority. It was founded in 1908 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C., by and for college educated women. The Sorority currently has more than 283,000 college-educated members throughout the United States, Africa, Asia, Europe, the Caribbean and the Middle East.

 

Since November 1988, Rho Nu Omega Chapter has proudly served the Korean peninsula and provided over $100,000 in scholarships to deserving graduating seniors. Rho Nu Omega Chapter's scholarships are awarded to students who have been active leaders within their respective communities in the areas of academic achievement, community service, extracurricular activities, and global citizenship.

 

The following items must be received by midnight, Monday, April 15, 2019.

Scholarship winners will be notified and announced on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

 

Completed Application Form

Recent Photo (photo will be used for press release)

A Personal Essay (criteria attached)

Two (2) Recommendation Forms (School and a Community member/non-relative)

College Acceptance Letter(s) (must be received before awarding a scholarship)

Academic Verification Form

 

All information listed above must be submitted as one complete package. Incomplete applications and packages will not be considered. Please send completed package to:
